Welcome!

In 1998, our Pastor bought a Dune buggy and began to rebuild it along with another friend. By 2001, they had a good sized buggy club. I wanted a dune buggy so my wife and I could get in on the fun. The first of September, 2001, my oldest daughter had a Dodge Van with a blown engine. She traded it to her friend for a dune buggy, believed to be a Myers Manx, and gave it to me for my birthday. At that time, I had a Hunting and Fishing Guide Service and did not have time to start a rebuild. On 19 Dec. 2001, I had a heart attack and had  to have a three-way bi-pass. I came home on Christmas day and on Dec 27, I had a coughing spell and ripped everything open in my chest and had to go back and have it done over again. I was back on my feet by March 2002 and started the rebuild on the green buggy, seen above. With the help of my friends, we were back on the road by June, 2002. At that time it was painted a violet color.

In April, 2004, I spotted a Dune Buggy in the back yard of a home on the way from my home to the shop. I never could catch anyone at home but kept watching it. Then on June 15th 2004, I saw the owner in his yard and we stopped and asked him if he would sell the buggy. That afternoon we towed it to the shop and I began my second rebuild of a dune buggy. (THE BLUE ONE ABOVE). This buggy is full size and is on a full size VW Pan. The green buggy is on a VW Pan that is cut down 14 1/2 inches.

Kaylei, 08-10-08, 2 lbs. 4 ozs. came home, 10-02-08

On Aug. 7, my daughter was taken to UC Davis Medical Center with liver Failure. She was six months P.G. On Aug 10th they had to take the baby C-section.
Kailei was only 2 lbs. 4 ozs. My daughter improved and was reliesed from the Hosp. on Aug 14th. She stayed at the Ronald McDonald House until she and baby Kaylei came home on Oct. 2nd. With running back and forth to Sacramento, nothing was done on the buggies and no updates here. We hope that will change.
